Oslo to Dubai in Economy, Dubai to Melbourne in First. Priority check in/luggage?

Hi there,

I have a Qantas Rewards booking on EK.

Will be travelling in Economy from Oslo to Dubai and then in First from Dubai to Melbourne (10 hour transit at DXB). Unsure which counter I should go to in Oslo.

- Should I be lining up at Economy or First?
- If I line up in Economy, will my luggage get tagged as Priority First at the counter to fit in with my onward leg?

EK Facebook chat said to check at the airport so they basically gave me a nothing answer.

Yup! The first check in counter is for pax flying first… which the OP is, later that day. They’re not going to turn you away (or I’d be really surprised if they did).

If checking in at an economy desk the bags will be tagged F as the final sector is in F.

Checking in with another pax in F doubly ok.

I agree, and especially if your partner is flying F the whole way it’s unlikely they would turn you away.
