Optus $99/Mth Sim Only Plan - 60,000 Qf Pts

I signed up for myself and Mrs Ken1 on July 11 and the 60K points posted to our QFF accounts late today. The 4th $99 payment went through on October 11 so we're paid up until November 11 so I'll cancel before then. For those who have cancelled already did you use chat in the app, phone Optus or call into an Optus shop?
 
I'm going to cancel it too. Any easiest way for cancellation? Do we need to call Optus?
If you don't want to speak to anyone, you could port out on a $2 Telstra or $2 Vodafone SIM and leave it.

Otherwise, messaging in the app is usually fastest.
 
Got my points too! Seems today is my billing day… although checking my account the charge doesn’t show up yet, only on the main page it lists the *next* payment as bing due 15 November. Going into the main billing page the October one is still to be posted.

Nevermind, $396 wasn’t too bad.

Just paid my 4th $99...if my Qf points don't post b4 the 5th one is due, I'm not sure I will hang around waiting....
I'll be damned...my 60K Qf points just posted just 1 day after I paid my 4th $99 instalment. Will cancel soon b4 my 5th instalment is due on 12 Nov
 
Ditto. The points landed in my account yesterday (12 Oct). My next billing is due tomorrow (14 Oct), so I'm online now cancelling the account. If I hadn't spotted these posts I would have made the 4th payment. Bonus - which is part of the value in being part of the AFF family.

I was told that I'd be billed for my usage so far this month (so still effectively 4 payments). Bummer. I got muddled and had in my head it was prepaid.
 
Here to report I've just got 60k qf points posted today. FYI I signed up on 11 July. No drama at all, as long as you've stayed with the plan and paid $99*4.

I concur. My 60K points posted today as well. Nice when it all just works😀
 
My points landed this afternoon too and I'm on the in-app chat as we speak to cancel. Happy days...well apart from possible identity theft...
 
Interesting chat experience so far. Told they cannot change the $99 plan as it’s “permanent” and I should switch to Vodafone if I want to cancel it. Then told by a “manager” that they’d change it for me but have refused to lodge a complaint regarding the previous advice.

Partner is having a separate chat where the agent has said “you need to stay on this plan or we’ll get your points back” (direct quote).

This operation in India is seriously loose! No wonder all our data was breached 🙄

Wow! They're as patchy and hit and miss as QF service in CPT! My Optus service was just cancelled over in app chat in less than 5 minutes with no dramas. I was informed I'd be billed up to today in the current cycle - more or less the full 4th month anyway....

BANG! Points in the account! And a week before the 4th payment. I’ll be porting back to Telstra early next week.
