Hi,
I currently use my EDR points to convert to Qantas points.
I know that this can be turned off and ? EDR points banked until a later date .
What I'd like to know is can the banked EDR points be converted at a later date to Qantas Points - ie an alternative option to using for 10% off shopping at Woolies.

Yes, there's an option to bank for Xmas...you can use this to store them up until Dec 1st.

... and beyond! You do not have to turn bank for Christmas off, even at Christmas time. They send lots of emails reminding you. But you do not need to.

Last time I "Banked for Christmas" for 21 months. First day of my new Qantas "year" I switched to Qantas points giving a 40K+ contribution to Points Club.

I now have points club with another 20 months to go ... and have "Banked for Christmas" again. Bring on 2026 ...

Yes, it's a commonly used method to reach points club/points club plus.

There is a maximum number of points that can be stored though.

Does this upper limit refer
  1. to 4000 EDR points or
  2. the number of points generated by spending $4000.
A lot of my EDR points are generated by "boosting" so 4000 points could mean maybe only a 1000-2000 dollar spend.
So, if the limit is the former , it would seem a little miserly.

I read it as $4000 EDR credit = 400 x $10 credit -> 800,000 QFF points!

Working backwards, that’s still a lot of spend - even with boosters!

Would it be 800,000 Everyday Rewards points = 400,000 Qantas points?

Unrelated to the original question in this thread, would the option 'Converting to Qantas points' convert one's entire Everyday Rewards balance? Or is it possible that you would choose to convert certain amount?

I suspect you couldn't, in which case I'm in a bit of a pickle.

I've accumulated more than $3,000 in Everyday Rewards $$$, which is around 300,000 Qantas points. I understand Qantas Points Club limits single transaction to 125,000. If I ever decide to convert my Everyday Rewards $$$ into Qantas points, most of the points won't count for Points Club Plus purpose.

Does anyone have experience in this admittedly niche area?

Yes, I had 2000 pts in my head but that’s 2000 EDR = $10 / 1000 QFF pts.

Based on other comments, I believe they’ll all transfer at once… Maybe there’s a workaround that someone else knows?

Yes, if you were hoping for PC+ off the back of that haul!

In some other thread/post is stated if you select $ savings ($10 - 2000 EDR points) can later go back and change to auto credit to QF ffp. 2000 EDR will then auto transfer to 1000 points in QF fpp. Have not done so myself but plan to do in the future to keep inactive QF ffp accounts alive (for family member). So not 110% convinced this works.

May have been in Everyday Rewards Targeted Offers

If you switch to Qantas Points, within a few hours the entire balance will be irreversibly converted.

Which for QF ff accounts with no flights, doing every 17 months is good. Just a few shops to get 2000 EDR every 12~18 months
Depends on the objective with a WW EDR card.
