I spent 45 minutes tonight trying to book a one way ticket from BNE to SYD. VA's website was continually stuck with the waiting circle (or whatever it's called) and just kept hanging.

I finally managed to book the flight, but after 6 or 7 attempts forgot to untick the travel insurance.

VA please make travel insurance opt-in, or fix your booking system. It really feels that you're taking advantage.

The cancellation process is easy and you may even find you receive a few bonus velocity points

you don't call anyone, the instructions to cancel are very simple and included in the confirmation email. It's a very easy email and the cancellation will be processed.

It's little things like this that make me want try QF. But...... I don't want to wait to build up the status in middle seats!

I spent 45 mins trying to book a flight on Christmas Day for my daughter and myself. The site kept crashing and I had to keep logging in all the time. Infuriating.
And yes, I hate the travel insurance opt out too. it should be opt in.
