Hi all
Currently booking the internal european legs of my europe trip and struggling to find decently priced airfares. Fortunately most of the countries we are going through have *A carriers based there (Germany, Czech Repoublic, Croatia, Turkey etc).
We've been looking to Lifemiles to book some cheap one-way award Y legs where its cheaper than to buy a rev Y ticket (such as TXL-BEG) but the glorious lifemiles booking engine hardly shows any availability even when we force the carrier and there is lots of availability on ANA etc.
I had immediately discounted using USDM for this as you cant do one ways (or stopovers within the one region) but Im wondering how loosely the open jaw rules are for intra-Europe travel. Obviously FRA-IST-FRA would be a simple EU-EU return but do you think I could get away with something like TXL-BEG(dest)-PRG by claiming it an open jaw EU-EU return?
These are simple, short, direct Y options, Im not trying to rip USDM off through some amazing redemption - I just wants something cheaper than the (very expensive) rev prices.
