OneWorld First class lounge rights in Melbourne International

The OneWorld site is actually very explicit about access:

[h=2]Qantas International First[/h] Location details: Airside, Level 3, near gates 9-10
Opening hours: Daily: 04:30 to 17:30
Notes: Access to First Class Lounges is restricted to Emerald members or those travelling in First Class

As is the Qf site. Airport Lounges at Melbourne International Airport | Qantas

Can't actually see any wiggle room.

Sorry, I don't even see your arguement. You are not flying First Class on your next leg out of Melbourne, you are not WP. No access!

Can you fly to Sydney, and catch a CTX flight - first class to KUL?

FWIW it's a "First" lounge, not a "First class" lounge.

Interesting how the QF website regarding lounge access has changed and the table with different eligibility by: QF COS, QFF status, OW status and OW COS is now gone.
The published guest allowance is also not there, nor is the stipulation about a "next onwards flight" domestically.
So in theory, dom arrivals access is now available to not just WP, but anyone else eligible for QP entry! :o

Hmmm.... now what does that green circle at the front of the dom J lounge mean again? :o

OP, unfortunately the rules say you won't get access to the MEL F lounge.. unless you become OWE between now and then, or you can get someone to guest you.

QF website now lists access privileges by each lounge at each port (or as far as I've seen) - check here and select port, then lounge.

BTW, OP would not have access based on this.
