I'm really stuck on this one. I usually fly on CX and any oneworld related airlines exclusively and have DM/Emerald status. I am planning a trip to CDG and am being restricted to go on a QF flight. Normally my route planning would've been BNE-HKG-CDG and back, but I may have to do BNE-DXB-CDG instead. That's perfectly fine, and i've also done a mock booking to check and all the flights are under EK but with a QF number! So does oneworld benefits translate onto an EK operated flight with a QF8xx_ number or not? What about miles and status do they get credited to my MPD account even though EK is not part of oneworld but I am on a QF numbered flight?

One world benefits apply to One World operated and marketed flights. [Edit not miles, mis read below quote]

Miles can also be earned on eligible fare classes on codeshare flights marketed by Qantas and operated by QantasLink, Sunstate Airlines, Eastern Australia Airlines, JetConnect or any one-world member airline.

I am not sure on that one. My instinct is you would earn nothing because EK is not an affiliate member of OW.

If that indeed is the case may I suggest QF flying BNE-xSYD-xDXB-LHR, then adding on either a BA flight or Eurostar to Paris? A little longer but QF metal all the way so no problems with miles/status. This does have the added benefit of QF F lounge in SYD too :)
