one world points

No.

Long answer is that you can only transfer points within the same program, so you could transfer them between two SAS accounts, but they wouldn’t get into a Qantas account.

Even longer answer would be that if the flight had recently credited to SAS and it wasn’t intentional, you could try persuade them to un-credit the points, and then credit them to a Qantas account instead… but unless the flight was yesterday, that’s a bit unlikely, and it’s not easy to do anyway.

SAS is a Star Alliance member and QF OneWorld so no to the transfer of points...

We are planning the following using qantas points

bne-pvg-jfk-fco-lhr-mru-jnb-bne

the total miles is 33000. Just wondering how strict the east/west rule is as we are planning bne - pvg (Shanghi) - JFK route. Also to get from MRU (Mauritios) to Bne but can only do it via Johannesburg. Shanghi is a planned stay over, but Johannesburg is transit. Thanks

There is no east west rule!

The only limitations are as noted here: http://www.australianfrequentflyer....140-000-pts-rtw-award-16582-2.html#post237457

Qantas don't have an ATW [around the world] award - they do have a oneworld award which can be used for ATW [around the world] routings.

As posted limitations are:
  • 16 Segments
  • 5 stovers
  • MPM of 35,000 miles.

So you can go SYD-LHR-LAX-SYD or SYD-NRT-HKG-LAX-NRT-DPS-NRT-HKG-SYD.
Of course, to qualify you must travel on at least two oneworld airlines other than Qantas. (Qantas if you like as well).
