I'm flying to FRA in a few weeks, with my first stop being MUC.

I currently have a 1 way flight to FRA as I will end up in LON a few weeks later, entering on a working Visa.

When speaking with munitalP the other day, he reminded me of something I had thought of ; what about SQ wanting to see onward travel?

I have 1.5 weeks of travelling around Germany / Austria before I get to LON, but haven't set in concrete exactly where I will be going - which is why I haven't booked xx_-LON yet, as I don't know where I'll be. The plan was to organise it all once I arrive in MUC and receive some ideas from my friend.

Will SQ be wanting to see onward travel of some sort, and I'll possibly be denied entry at FRA as I don't have anything else booked?

Is my best option to do a cheap dummy booking, and throw away if need be ; or do a fully flex booking somewhere and do it that way? Any ideas?

I suspect your UK visa would be enough, but would probably be a good idea to call SQ and ask.

Might do that. Wasn't sure whether I should call the German Embassy/Consulate, British one, Australian one etc. so might just start with the airline!

I am certain that if you enter one EU country ie Germany with a valid work visa for another EU country ie UK you won't have a problem but double check with the German Consul. If there's something in writing you can present to SQ checkin it certainly wouldn't do any harm.

I think so as well but I'm not sure how that might work with the UK not being in the Schengen area. Hence there are border controls between the UK and Germany.

I would certainly contact the Germans to see their reaction and if possible get something in writing from them.

I had the question asked to me when I flew to FRA last year ("where are you going after FRA?"). I told them I was taking a train to BER, and I showed them my train ticket from FRA to BER (in addition to showing my itinerary for my trip to FRA).

I had no idea that there may have been such requirements, although it is a reminder to all of us that we should have printouts or records of all travel in advance of travelling.

Well I bit the bullet and bought a throwaway FR ticket (that's about all they're good for!). $19.73, nice and easy!
