Dilemma.
Looking at going to Anchorage, AK, early next year.
Delta has a $400 return fare LAX-ANC, which I will just pay for separately. Easy peasy.
Have enough Velocity points to come back in J class LAX-MEL on V Aus and was just prepared to pay the economy fare from MEL-LAX.
But, the one-way fare is $1418 compared to $860 if you book it as a return flight.
So my question is, is that just tough cough for me? The pitfalls of booking a one-way flight are that you must be prepared to fork out extra?
Any help on sourcing a cheap one-way fare would be much appreciated.
