Wow a new record today. Normally the record is the ongoing reduction in time it takes me to get from the kerb to the lounge (I normally use kerb to champagne as the measure but obviously not in JED). It took me around 10 mins recently at SYD.

Today in JED was not so quick. Started off with the CX flight not having a check in desk listed then thee was the queue to queue for immigration:

That scrum took about 30 mins to move 5 mtrs.

Once through that we had the queue for immigration - about 7 lines with people joining from the sides, being joined by friends who didn't make it through the scrum together. We then went through 20+ mins of that queue:

Finally we had the security hoot... This was surprisingly quick until they realized I had lots of pipes, tubes and metal in my had luggage (dive gear if you were wondering), so off for the detailed inspection, waiting for someone to come and check so the X-ray guy left his post to open my bag, see the tubes and wave me on...

Finally into the lounge ... And thats when the problems started...

Looks like QF domesitic priority boarding. :p

WOW! Also..kind of resembles.. Gold Coast airport when flights are delayed/cancelled during a storm.. Though looks like a collective captive audience to sell/market something... :!:

Is it wrong to say another reason to avoid....

Or any other fiesta or any given day for that matter.. of any air or sea port in PI! At least I feel kind of taller to oversee the crowd
