So this year I slipped from Plat to Gold and spent 7 months working my way back (mainly in discount economy).
Having just made it back to Platinum I was amused to get the welcome to Platinum package with two shiny new RFID bag tags.
Appears they dont remember they sent you a set last time you made it platinum.
One small bonus... not sure what I will do with four of them...

You'll need to take four bags with you next time in order to use them all, and pay excess fees! Qantas aren't silly. ;)

I sold mine right here. I found the bottle of whisky I bought with the profits more useful than another set of bag tags.

I have a spare set of "old" WP tags, the ones that looked like the PS ones, called QF and they sent me some nice dark grey ones :-)

Scurries off to ring the WP bag tag hotline as I still have the old "PS" style tags

You definitely should! I so the new ones on several WPs in J Lounges, and despite the fact that one could cling to the originals and thus be avant garde and fashion forward, I certainly like the more distinctive, newer version.

As a SIN based flyer, the PS ones are very reliable as coasters. The SG ones are still in the drawer, in their packaging, and I'll be receiving the WP ones in a matter of weeks. They, too, will live in the drawer much like the SG ones.

I wouldn't know a new one from an old one . . . what's the distinction between them..??? mine are a dark grey (but not black) colour, quite without distinction, but also have been known to work well as a coaster :D

Out of all I've seen I kind of like the look of the red QP tags the most.

I have every colour except those ones (and black CL of course).

I still have the original WP ones too.. perhaps in years to come they will become.... exclusive??? :p

One word for those that have lots of coasters - eBay!

Whilst I am sure they are fantastic coasters there seem to be a lot of people interested in buying them. Use that money to fund some cheaper coaster purchases! :)

There is quite a healthy market for PS and above on eBay

I still have my old PS ones on the bag - red ovals and all. I just can't be bothered changing them over or perhaps it's an inverted DYKWIA thing.
