On-line check-in off-line?

Haven't been able to check in on-line any time today for QF798 BNE to CNS tomorrow (Monday) 7:05AM. Is this a general issue today, or does this portend badly for my flight?

Was able to do a check in for a flight SYD-CNS with no issue at 0915

I had a MEL-SYD flight today, I was not able to online checkin either, the online checkin button was not there in the booking like it normally is.
Had to use Self service checkin at the airport.

Was a bit worried when Dave hadn't had a problem, but am somewhat relieved to hear that cmon0005 flew OK despite online check-in being unavailable to him today.

I even managed to get a bulkhead exit row seat which was good even though I checked in with only 40 mins til takeoff.

QF have a problem at the moment where online checkin isn't working (not even offered) for a flight if you have already flown one or more flights on the booking. First flight in the booking is fine.

I guess that's what happened to me when I could not OLCI for the return leg of an ex AKL booking on Friday.

Yes - I had the same issue. I could check in online BNEMEL on Friday night, but could not access online check in for the return MELBNE on Sunday. Seat allocation issues then worsened by the delay of an earlier aircraft and people wanting to move planes.

i have a return flight tomorrow (out in morning, back in evening) and can't check in online - have tried different computers and browsers. the button just doesn't come up on the screen, it's not like i try to check in and then run into trouble.

Many things can make this happen. Has your booking been changed by a Qantas agent? (That's a common one)

That's what happened to me yesterday for my return Adl-Syd flight this am...could OLCI for the first leg but not the return! Outcome the same tho...preallocated 1D on both legs:mrgreen:...even in front of a shadow federal minister!

Many things can make this happen. Has your booking been changed by a Qantas agent? (That's a common one)

I did change the return leg!

Just tried to check in online and it said no booking found for that number or name, but have a valid Eticket in front of me.
Is the online check in not working today?

Just returned from my trip to NQ. Had no trouble checking in on arrival at the airport. I think I now know why I couldn't do it on-line. I hadn't realised that my boss's PA had linked his reservation with mine, until both came up when I entered my details at the QuickCheck kiosk. Presumably this causes the system to withhold on-line check-in, to ensure each then can't do it independently?

They have no fix date as yet, but it has been like this for a week now ,

Yep, I had the same problem today. Used the kiosk outside the QP and was auto allocated 4D for MEL-ADL and snagged 12D (exit row) for ADL-PER

This doesn't bode well for my two "return" legs coming up in the next week, for the two journeys I'm currently in the middle of (MEL-PER-MEL and PER-MEL-PER). I better not get stuck in a middle seat, OLCI means that hasn't happened for a long time!
