Oman Air seats now showing up as QF Classic Rewards

I had to call QF to get my WY booking reference. I can pull up the booking and add my phone and email but it won't give me an option to select a seat. There is an Add Seat link. When i click on it it says this.

I was getting this same error going to the omanair . com website as well. If you google Oman Air flight booking this link should show Oman Air and when you click on this one then select Manage My Trips you can select seats in there. I have selected our seats in this site and the seat selection shows in Qantas app so it has fed through. It shouldn't be this hard!!!

Thanks, I can see the seat charts but they want $32 AUD for the cheapest seats. Very annoying! Can I choose seats when I do online check in for free?

Oh we didn't have to pay any extra for the cheapest seats (all the economy seats behind extra legroom seats were free to select) - maybe those are all already gone? Not sure with online check-in, we haven't gone on our flights yet.

We're just Bronze QFF. We did book these flights last year (for travel in Oct this year) within a few days of Oman coming on board with Qantas though, maybe something has changed with selecting seats since then.

No status, just a Bronze and it's an award ticket in Y. First segment is on JQ BNE-BKK, then WY BKK-MCT-IST. Thankfully both are day flights (well MCT arrives before midnight) so I don't have to try to sleep so I am not desperate enough to pay for seats. Might be something new.
