Olivia Wirth to Leave Qantas

It will be interesting to see what happens with this complete sweep of management. Will we see "enhancements" to the QFF program in the coming months? It's a possibility with fresh faces who aren't tied down to prior statements and can start fresh. At the same time, having everyone resign at QF means they could argue that they already dealt with the bad publicity QF has generated in the past several months.

Perhaps I am being too skeptical here but I've seen this movie play out elsewhere (i.e. the hound over in the US)

The problem was the frequent flyer program was way too successful so using the points became a very big problem.
Everyone hoped to get premium travel and Qantas changed the value of their billions of points issued.

I don't see this as a particularly good thing for QF, I think OW did innovate a fair bit with the program. I'm sure some will laugh (how can you have a nuanced conversation about QF in the current day?) but Points Club was a good innovation for the program and she didn't preside over any great devaluation, and the point @cove made above is more an indictment on the Airline side of the business than the Loyalty side.

That said, it's hard to forget about the reports of particular behaviour displayed when she was asked to vacate her favourite J seat for a revenue (although it doesn't matter tbh) pax with inop IFE in J. Maybe it's true, maybe it isn't but it left a permanent sour taste in my mouth.

A change in leadership won't mean much. Same goes for the airline side too.
You don't get to the top (or be next in line) without playing the game.
Therefore, expect business as usual.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

The old executive musical chairs. And to think I was naïve enough to think those positions were skill based.
The difference here is we've got 2 Qantas CEOs evacuating within the span of a month, which, to my knowledge, is unheard of!

The real innovation is being driven by external loyalty experts and consultants rather than in-house loyalty stuff, who actually know nothing in many cases about travel loyalty. QF should hire someone from the outside if they're serious about improvements.

One of our "esteemed" colleagues you mean.
Umm, of course, not me, ... but some on here should apply.

Possibility too, that life for a QFF member/of a QFF member could get tougher under a new QFF CEO.
Remember when they changed the SC earn, ADL - SYD used to be 15 QFF on most Y fares, then it got dropped to only 10 QFF on all 7 Y fares.
Or that the required points band, gets further put out, 8000 QFF points for Aust becomes a need for 10,000 QFF on the shorter Aust dom sectors.
Time will tell.

What they really need to do is buy more planes and fly more so there's more seats to sell to QFF members.
