Hello all,

I've searched and cannot find a definitive answer as most questions are about going the other way and how to correct it...

My partner moved down from WP to Gold on 1 August, me from Gold to Silver on 1 June. We made the booking for our LHR-BNE-LHR earlier in the year when she was WP and I was Gold

When we flew on the 4th Aug from LHR-SYD-BNE (checking in at the QF check-in desk) both our Boarding passes still showed our old statuses - hers having lapsed 4 days prior and mine 2 months earlier.

We will fly from BNE-SYD-LHR in late august - will it still show our old statuses on the BPs?

We also put upgrade requests in when we had the old statuses - will it still rank us by old or new status?

thanks
Steve

I thought if the number was removed from the booking, saved, then re-added it would show correctly. But never tried myself.

My experience - going the other way - was that my old status appeared on my BPs until I started travelling on bookings made after my status change.

With respect to upgrades, IIRC this is based upon status at the time of assessment (ie the new status).

Regards,

BD

Thanks for your quick responses so far - yes in our case its not in our best interest to have it corrected, so if it stays on there its just fine! :)

It would be our last chance to experience the Flounge in Sydney and we will be hanging out there for 3 hours waiting for QF001!

My BP in JNB on Monday afternoon stated Gold and I quickly flashed my Platinum card to have it altered. Yet the outbound journey from SYD 2 weeks earlier has Platinum on it. Don't get that one? Maybe JNB has got a slower computer?

I'd put it down to the computer being on 'African Time.'
