So that is all of the Gardens.Well worth a visit.But they do have craft shops,an Edinburgh Woollen mills,gift shop and of caourse plants.

Next was a drive by Conwy's Castle.Basically ruins so walking around in the rain wasn't inviting.

We then drove down the opposite bank of the Conwy river for a different view.

On the sand flats over the river the prototype for the :Mulberry"harbours were first built.The designer lived in Conwy.

Then we drove out to Holy Island.They have a James Pringle outlet if you turn left after coming off the Britannia Bridge.It appears the locals changed the name of their town.

We then drove out to Holyhead but it was miserable with the rain pelting down so a quick drive round and stopping at a Morrison's to buy some wine as the next day we moved to a self catering apartment.Also bought myself a G&T tasting kit.
On the drive out we had noticed a mountain that obviously seen a lot of mining activity in the past.Coming the other way it was not obvious.

We turned onto a road going up the hill but trees,houses and traffic meant you couldn't really get good pictures.Coming back down the hill you got to see what the weather looked like.

Turning around we finally got good views of the mountain.

The last of our drive.

I'm not sure what they mined here but copper mining has been going on around here for 4000 years.Trying to find out about the mine I came across a caving website that often has trips into the old mines in this area.

So back to the dining room for dinner again.Drinks first in the Library.

Mrsdrron had the scallops as well but I had the courgette flower stuffed with feta and crab with heirloom tomatoes.Really good.

For mains mrsdrron had the fettucine with veggies and wild mushrooms and I had the lamb.

The next morning I decided to try another hot dish.Smoked haddock with a poached egg.Rather nice too.

It wasn't raining after brekkie so we decided to walk around the grounds.

A large and obviously productive kitchen garden.

Around one side were dahlias.My grandfather used to grow and hybridise them so I have never lost my love for them despite living in QLD.

Then things that looked like overgrown thistles.

It had now started raining so back to the apartment.

Now it was Sunday so time for a Sunday drive.Originally the plans were to catch the Train up the great Orme hill but they are open sided.The rain was heavy and the wind howling so we decided to drive up via the marine drive.A toll road 3.5 GBP.Worth it.Our guides were waiting as we came through the toll gate.

I really don't think they look beautiful.Ugly better describes them.

The drive is one way except when you drive up to the summit so you can pull over to take pics.Despite the weather there were lots of people walking or running the route.

Going up you come to a very large graveyard with a very small church-St.Tudnos after the first Celtic priest to build a religious structure here.There was a sentry that you could walk right up to.

Now in summer there is an outdoor service at noon every Sunday.I had timed my visit to perfection as it was now exactly noon.

For some reason it had been cancelled today.

Really miserable at the summit and we didn't think it necessary to get out of the car.Some though were playing putt putt golf!

We then briefly stopped at the bronze age copper mine thought to have been operating 4000 years ago.Because it had been raining for days conditions in the mine were also terrible so just a few photos.

Basically at the half way point so we had a coffee at the Rest and be Thankful cafe.The rain eased so time for a few photos.
