Mrsdrron naturally had the Sav Blanc whilst I enjoyed the Burgundy.A glass of sauterne with the dessert.I enjoyed both.

So we are on our way.Easy trip down to BNE on a lovely QLD morning.Arrived a little before 1200.Easy checkin.Both of us missed the secondary explosives testing.Both of us had just one glass of wine.Between reading the papers and being on line I watched the Dash 8's.

So back to BA 16 and the food.The starters.

The appetisers.Mrsdrron the prawns and I the terrine.

For mains I had the pork belly which was really nice.

I didn't eat the kale though.

Later I indulged in part of the high tea.

All in all We liked the food,service was excellent so nothing to complain about.
IFE was good.I watched Red Joan and All is True both with Judi Dench.After that Gordon,gino and Fred in Scotland-a real hoot with Gordon Ramsay.After that some light relief with What Men Want.
To top it all off our bags were the first 2 out. at Changi.

Overnight at the CP Changi.We are doing well here.Early check in,welcome points in my account 12 hours before we arrived.Room on top floor this time and although not the airport view if you ar in the low numbered odd rooms on 9 you can see over the parking lot and at least the tails of the planes going by.
We were in our room 25 minutesafter arriving at the gate.

No need for brekkie at the CP as we had an 0900 flight.Still dark when we got up at 0600.Easy walk to the SQ First check in.
Interesting as an Indian family walked in just ahead of us.They were made to wait whilst we were taken to the 1 free agent.
No problems with Immigration and soon we are being taken into the TPR.
French toast for mrsdrron.

Determined not to repeat yesterdays boarding drama so left the TPR a little early.A leisurely stroll,looked at a few of the shops and noted gin prices.No problems at security.Boarding for F started soon after.Enough time after boarding for 3 glasses of champagne-2 Krug and 1 Dom.Preferred the Krug.Even mrsdrron who normally doesn't like champagne warmed to the Krug.

But this was the star.

Just looked it up now here in the UK-324 GBP.And I was into the second bottle.Really good with lots of body still and will last for quite a few years.I did try a glass of the 2012 Burgundy but came back.Unlike these youthful 60 year olds if I really like a wine I stick to it.

That is the foie gras terrine.I also had the caviar but no picture.
I then had the prawn dumplings.Before and after the added chilli.

I watched the whole series of Chernobyl.It was sad that the writers,editors and producers of the series denied the proven science,added fake occurrences and left out some of the actual facts including that an American expert in radiation injuries and bone marrow transplants was working with the victims within a few days of the accident so saving the lives of some of the reactor workers.

I then had a nanny nap of a couple of hours.Mrsdrron slept longer so I decamped to an empty windows suite and got a few shots from Afghanistan through Iran and over the Caspian sea.No problems putting the shades up.
