Hi Guys

Hoping someone might be able to assist - flying SYD-PER on 03/12/15 QF575 and it is showing old config 330 - can you please let me know the best seats in Y (most legroom)?

44 A, B, J, and K already gone - are 44 F and G any good (need legroom many as I am tall and 2 seats together)

and if I can get would 23 A, B or J, K be the pick? Then next best options if not these?

Or any other good seats - (apart from J)???

Thanks!

Old configuration is fairly vague considering the number of sub types QF has - do you have a seat map?

I wouldn't go with 23, any number. The tray table is in the arm rest so what you make up for in legroom is sacrficed by a narrower than normal seat. Honestly, I'd rather stand than sit in row 23 A, B, J or K again.

Thanks Matt

is this from Expert Flyer?

And if correct what would your pick of seats be for legroom?

Yes, that's what Expert Flyer was showing for your flight.

I've actually never flown on the refurbished A330 in economy, so can't help you there, sorry. Hopefully someone else will know.

If you're in Business, I recommend any window seat in either row 2 or 4.

thanks guys

yes i have flown J on the new config and it is much improved, but do not know the Y layout - hoping the seats are also much improved? And looking for that extra legroom spot, as 44 ABJK have all gone....

Front every time for me. You would have to be pretty broad of beam to notice the small sacrifice in seat width. Just watch out if you are in the config where 23 is an exit row. You get an infinity of leg room, but only in the aisle seats, 23A and 23K legroom is impeded by the exit door. The other downside is you are next to the galley and it can get a bit noisy. Personally I don't mind as you get a bit of a natter with the crew and if you are lucky a glass of something from J
