Alexander or Palace Square - yes, you need the panorama mode!

I wonder if they'll take you to the Kunstkamera, Russia's first museum, created by Peter the Great. Its more-or-less opposite Admiralty on University Embankment. As a medico, you may appreciate it, but its definitely for the non squeamish! (And even then many find it distasteful)

Nearby are the university colleges, and the Mendeleev Museum (in his rooms). One of my great disappointments was not getting in - it was being renovated last year.

So to the inside of the church and the canopy over the spot where the Czar was mortally wounded-

We were offered a tour of the Kunstkamera on the third day when we had a bit of tree time but I have seen a few medical museums,it was raining and I earnt a lot more brownie points agreeing that it was a much better thing to go to a shopping mall.Beside we do have 2 more days in St.Petersburg coming up.
So more Spilled Blood-

The restoration of the church began in 1970 and was expensive due to the amount of mosaics here.Opened in 1997.

Pete I am the last person to give you facts on how to post pictures.According to the photo experts on Flyer Talk I should not be able to do what I do_On the other hand following their very clear directions I could never get pictures to stick. So I have always eventually found work arounds that work for me.
I do download my pics to Picasa and resize them there-though Picasa is no longer supported by Google and eventually will have to do things differently-Google photos is a pathetic program IMHO.
I used to upload to Picasaweb which I found easy to use but Google in all their wisdom don't allow me to access that anymore-that happened the day I started this trip!I had a Flickr account so reactivated that. You can do further resizing there-and you can have up to 1TB of storage there for free.It has taken some time to nearly fully use it-eg I was having problems with Flickr deciding what size photos I should post but have got that beaten now I hope.
It always takes some time for me to learn anything new on a computer.Am also too dumb to use a smart phone.
I have absolutely no idea of other programs as my Scots heritage means that I go for the program that gives me the most for free.

Hahaha, I kill my partner with my refusal to pay $1.12 or some other ridiculous amount for an app yet think nothing of dropping $1120 on a lens that I don't ealy need! I think I'll give Flickr ago.
Cheers Pete
