I have a long trip planned and will hit VA gold halfway through it. Since I'll be overseas I won't be able to get my VA gold card till I return. I was wondering if there would be any way to access Delta Skyclubs during my U.S. domestic flights without a card? I know that the status should show up on the BPs but I wonder if that's still the case if I book now before I'm VA Gold?

it might actually take 3 or 4 days after qualifying to even be processed. I would suggest using the VA app on your phone for proof of status if that makes it easy for you.

That's an excellent idea. The status should come through as I have a few weeks between flights (at least I hope so).

It may take a few days for the points to credit to your account, once you attain the threshold for Gold it will activate a status review where your benefits should be available within 24-48 hours of your review.

In regards to accessing the Delta lounges, ensure that your VFF account is linked to your Delta Skymiles account, otherwise your VFF status will not be displayed on your BP.

In my experience, the lounge attendants not only check the boarding pass but request the Velocity account card too. So it's important to bring along your old Velocity Silver membership card, which should do fine. Their system should display your updated status on their end (as long as the status review has taken place). Bring your phone along too as ozjuice mentioned, just in case.

Welcome to the forum and enjoy the trip!
