Happy camper

Wow!! Any tips? Or more details? Had you taken the first flight?!

No tips or tricks.....Rang 131 011, went through krisflyer redemption option, told them I wanted to change to X date, agent found availability, moved, done (itinerary sent and KF booking updated)

Admittedly was waiting for the "that will be an extra x KF miles" but never came. Not sure if I got lucky or what?

Of note - potentially may try change again slightly forward. The date I got today is definitely acceptable that if when I try change again that if new pricing is enforced, I won't go through with it. but will report back if success or not with moving again.

No idea??? I just googled the SQ Australian office number and thats what I got!

I have mainly used the direct hotline number for Star Alliance Redemptions, previous cancellations etc

For info:

Turns out you were very wise to at least leave yourself the option. I tend to want to move on too quickly.

That's a kind summation, thank you :)

In reality, my husband said 'if we're travelling half way around the world for your sister's birthday, she can deal with us being there early, I'm not giving up my first class ticket'!

Hey guys - further data point - I successfully moved my 'old-award' flights again for the 2x time without point change / dollar refund

As in outside 12 months from the original booking date?

If that's what you are referring to then yes.

Is the new flying date within 12 months of the date which you made changes to the booking?

So I have a Suite award in early January next year, which I am planning to defer. I am going to wait until late December to push out my Suite award to another year ....

I always thought this would probably work, glad to have proof! This would appear, incidentally to be a way for KF miles to be valid well beyond 3 years.

If you mean via online only, then it did not work for my booking.

I could move it only up to the date of 12 months from the original ticketing which I did. Any further attempts would allow future dates to be selected as they became available, but I could not complete the booking. For all such 1+ month dates a box popped up stating to call SQ.

I can also move it back.

i also cant change it online, so i make a call to SQ and just let them know i want to move the date, and they did it without any questions..
