Does anyone know if you get QANTAS status credits when flying O class on American Airlines?
We've been given two different answers by QANTAS staff.
Many thanks,

If you go onto the QF site and find the airline earning table, it'll give you your answer.

Frequent Flyer - About the Program - Status Credits
* You can earn Status credits when flying on eligible Qantas, oneworld Alliance airlines (American Airlines®, airberlin, British Airways, Cathay Pacific Airways, Finnair, Iberia, JAL (Japan Airlines), LAN, Malaysia Airlines, Qatar Airways, Royal Jordanian Airlines and S7), Fiji Airways, Jetstar or QantasLink services - see the Airline Earning Table. Status credits can be earned on flights operated by Jetstar Airways where a Qantas flight number is entered on your ticket when booked in Y, B, H, K or W class, or on a Jetstar Starter Plus, Starter Max or Business Max fare only.
On eligible flights with that airlines flight number on your ticket.

O class earns 25% points so is an elgible flight

I received status credits & points for "Q" class. The link below states that both "O" & "Q" class will earn discount economy points.

Be aware that until August 1st this year, O & Q classes on AA flight numbers were indeed ineligible to earn with QFF.

Now, as indicated up thread, all revenue classes on AA earn in some way or another.

With such a relatively recent change, it is not surprising that two different answers were given.

Thanks for your responses. Last time I flew AA specifically to get QANTAS status credits to retain my status, I had to fight QANTAS for them, even though their web site stated I was eligible.
This time I thought I would get double confirmation from QANTAS and instead got different answers.
Very frustrating.:confused::confused::confused:
