Any airline, frequent flyer program, status, domestic or international... even possibly unrelated to flying, whats the number one tip you have?

I always track the status of the inbound aircraft so I know in advance if it will turnaround or continue on time. At least twice I've learnt that my flight would be delayed well before I was notified by the airline and even the call centre wasn't even aware...

Take a long extension cord & a powerboard because the power points are not always in good places in hotels, nor are there usually enough of them for the devices I need to power.

Life is not a dress rehearsal.
Whatever you want to do just do it whilst you can.
For travel it all depends on where and what you want to do.
So search AFF until you find a strategy that suits you.

I've with the good doctor, get out there and do what you want to do. Some of us are cut down far too early and never get to do what we always said we would

Spend time with your family!

Travel wise I've found prep is key. Aldo having enough knowledge of a situation so that you may pull yourself out of it if things go pear shaped!

When travelling be nice to everyone you interact with, it determines how well you will be treated, it can diffuse situations and can make travelling a whole lot better.

From the older man's travelling guide. ;)

Never miss a chance to use a toilet (especially number one's).
Never trust a fart.
Never waste an erection.

I always do the same if I can work out the inward flight details however even if its delayed you still need to be at the airport and checked in on time unless of course if the airline advise differently

Gee, just 1 tip?

Well if you want a play on words, my number 1 tip, make sure you know about the tipping culture of the place you are going to before you leave...
Pretty easy in the USA, tip everyone and tip often, but there are some countries which sort of have a tipping culture but don't, and yet there are other countries in which it is down right rude to tip.
Last thing you want is your hamburger and beer to be spat in because you didn't get the tipping thing right...

My other basic tip is keep a spare supply of "get out of country" money separate from your wallet. That way should the worst come to the worst, you have enough to get out to the airport and pay any departure taxes. Keeping it separate means that should you lose your wallet, or should you go on a bender the night before you leave, you don't accidentally lose / drink the money you need to be able to leave the country.

Don't expect that everywhere you go people will speak English.

Sorry I know you said one but, If possible always arrive with some local currency.
