I looked briefly but couldn't see anything about this.

When I joined the QP I'm sure they were advertising 250 lounges worldwide, and my membership pack says 250, as does certain areas of the Qantas website. Such as here, at the bottom.

But on the main QP page it's now (?) only advertising 130 lounges. Is this something I've missed, have they ended a partnership with another carrier recently?

Just struck me as odd this evening.

Not recently but last year or year before last i think US Airways.

Well that was late 2007, with the last codeshare/flight/access in early 2008. I received my membership pack for QP this year, it's dated September 2008, and it lists 250 lounges, compared to 130 now. Seems like a big loss.

I'm not going to have a look at all the lounges and count them but for us QC silver or bronze this is the access that we get:

In addition to Qantas Club lounges, you can relax in British Airways lounges^ (Terraces and Executive Club lounges) and American Airlines® Admirals Club lounges. (does this make 130?)

Of course if you are SG or WP you can access many more lounges of QFs oneworld partners as long as you are flying with them on the day. This could mean that the potential access if you are gold or platinum could be 130 + other airline partner lounges

Could be. They list (all?) the lounges on the QP site and there are definitely less than 250. So perhaps they just list the QP NB and PS lounges, or the main ones? Who knows, just seemed a pretty big difference between advertising 130 and 250.
