I see that the QF J Lounge in NRT is in the satellite terminal to terminal 2. (I'm only a QC Silver). Do the QF evening flights to MEL and BNE leave from the satellite terminal gates or is a long walk required when the boarding call is made?

Every time I've been at NRT while a QF flight has been at a gate (both arriving and departing), they have used gates in the satellite concourse.

Thanks.
It sounded logical to have QF gates nearby but then its QF!

I guess they don't, however every time I have flown QF22 back from Japan it has departed from the gate nearest the Qantas lounge.
Don't tell the QF accountants. Seems there might be prospects for "enhancements" - perhaps use the gates at the budget terminal alongside JQ

On Tuesday night, QF62 for BNE departed from gate 82 next to the QF lounge and QF80 for MEL from gate 84

I think much like HKG they try to allocate gates near the lounge.

Mostly the same at SYD Intl although you occasionally her a QF flight from the far pier
