It looks like the NRL is chartering Qantas flights to Vegas via Tripadeal for the NRL opening match there next year.

SYD-LAS on 27 Feb
BNE-LAS on 29 Feb

They haven't released timings so not completely guaranteed it will be a direct flight, but as it won't be A330 (they are selling premium economy) I'd assume it will be direct.

Price is around 5K per person including 5 nights at the Flamingo (you can upgrade to better casinos) so not terrible pricing - Vegas hotels are quite expensive these days.

I'm going but combing with a trip to Central America so I'll make my own way there (also had MGM comp nights available) - the tickets for the game itself are very reasonable (got mine for US$88 today including tax, which is probably the cheapest event yet to be held at Allegiant Stadium).

It looks like QF used the SYD-LAS aircraft to operate a SFO-SYD, after a LAS-SFO ferry. It then did a SYD-BNE ferry (it did not operate a pax flight) before flying BNE-LAS.

The seats were never made directly for sale from QF (or with points) however the NRL did open the flights up for general sales (including one way) a few weeks prior (previously the only way to get on the flight was the trip a deal package). While the trip a deal package earnt points and SCs I doubt the flights only would have earnt anything.
