Now QF Only Release 1 x J seat for FF MEL/SYD/BNE to LAX ?

How is availability on the direct Trans-Pacific market these days, in premium classes across all carriers?

Also if it's 2 x J that the OP is after, then I seem to not be having such bad luck as described, based on the quick check I have just done.

One dimensional with FF schemes. Have never purchased (directly) points/miles - for the great majority of my FF life we've been earning like everyone else, via flying and CC spend. About two years ago I learnt that you could pay ATO via CC - this has been a wonderful gift!

The best part? 8 of those 10 F flights are FASA - SWMBO & I will earn ~ 1,840SC and 150,000 QFFP ... the JASA flights will secure OWE x 2 for the next 21 months

I presume the gift certificates were also involved at some point?

Anyway well played sir, though again I do worry about one's ATO bills (yes, I pay mine with the CC too ).

Just looking at today's release (~30 mins ago), there is 1x P and 2x U in each of 3 flights (total of 6x U), Oz to LAX. To DFW has 2x P, no U.
Time the of year and day of the week would likely determine what is/isn't released.

I wouldn't know about the other carriers flying non-stop, but supposedly VA availability is better and surcharges are less than QF.

Surcharges for sure are much less on VA, but from what I have heard of recent, people have had more problems getting VA J trans-Pac availability. Once VA put out their refurbished 777 J product, I wonder what this will do to availability (my gut tells me it will be much the same).

QF has oneworld partners (plus AS, to a smaller degree) going for its inventory. For VA, it would be VA and DL mainly.

I've never purchased GC. If the traditional point earning transactions tightened up ... I'll have to start getting more creative.

Have also noticed the same thing. Only 1 seat from MEL or SYD, even up until the day of release.
