Am I missing something or is it impossible to route from India to anywhere in Africa via One World. Ultimately I'd like to get from Mumbai to Cape Town (or Harare, or Nairobi or Johannesburg, or Lusaka). The OW options appear to be to either backtrack to HKG or fly to London!

I know that CX fly BOM-DXB and also that RJ fly BOM-AMM but that seems to be the end of the road.
I'm guessing it is best to ditch OW and look at SAA.
Do any others on this board have experience between the subcontinent and Africa?

I know it's not what you're looking for but technically - yes. BOM-DXB-CAI/TIP/TUN/KRT. Cairo - Egypt, Tripoli - Libya, Tunis- Tunisia, Khartoum-Sudan.

Thanks Dajop. Yeah it is not ideal; sub-saharan africa would be nicer. Not sure of your routing though. DXB-CAI? Surely this is not a direct flight? I'm guessing they all route via Amman (and use RJ).

BOM-SIN-PER-JNB (QF codeshare on SAA metal for PER-JNB)

Or obviously an alternative BOM-SIN-SYD-JNB

Backtracking to HKG looks to be the best bet of staying on OW. CX have direct HKG-JNB. That's certainly the option i'd take.

BA have codeshare JNB-HRE and JNB-CPT (Comair) if you need to end up in either.

Do SQ have SIN-JNB?

I believe Evan has done SIN-JNB on SQ recently.
