NOT HAPPY...warning Check [booking class codes] before flight! ...

We all fall for this at times.Certainly there was an occasion I forgot to look up the fare class on a SYD-ADL flight on QF.Left my AA number in and got no points. However it turned out to be my one and only op up on QF.I thought flying J instead of Y was worth more than the 1000 points I lost.
However it also is important internationally to know your codeshares. If we fly JAL for example Japan-USA there is now always an AA codeshare so we have that in our booking which gets mrsdrron quite a few more QFF points.

I agree that it can be all too easy to slip up on this one, and I certainly learned the hard way on my last trip to the US (if only I'd read more detail on this site before booking).
Sometimes the price difference isn't worth it though to worry about whether you've earned the points or status :)

So I joined and now says online need to contact customer support to get points credited in program as not a member when flew?
WTF?

Most (all?) freq flyer have a time limit on flights already taken that can be credited prior to your date of joining.
Many do not any allow any prior flights flights to be credited.
With QF number in the booking you will have trouble getting into the AA freq flyer program.
With AA need activity every 18 months. If no eligible activity then the miles expire
For 1 flight is it worth it ?

I'm not quite sure that you are serious? In how many loyalty schemes of any sort, airline or other, could you expect benefits for something that occurred months before you joined?

Based on QFF and others saying they do it after flights?
Excuse is was waiting to be credited QFF and not told that not eligible...took that long for response!
