Norwegian train derails injuring 37 | News.com.au

A NORWEGIAN train traveling from Oslo to Stockholm derailed yesterday, injuring 37 people, one seriously, police and the train operator said.

"Train 55 from Oslo to Stockholm ... has derailed near Skotterud," the train operator NSB said in a statement. Skotterud is about 104 kilometers east of Oslo.

Of the 280 passengers, 37 were injured and taken to hospital and one was in serious condition, said NSB.

Trond Sulen of the Hedmark district police told AFP two carriages of the train had toppled over in the accident.​
