Northwest 747s in SYD

Anybody know why there were 2 Northwest 747s parked in Sydney today? They were by the pond at the end of the Qantas domestic terminal where the BA planes normally are. One was new NWA livery and the other the old.

Seemed weird, perhaps US military charters?
 
They are here on charter duties - not military. I believe its something to do with a Spanish trade delegation touring Asia and Australia.
