Noritake Marc Newson Dinner Set - Qantas

I like these but the centre of gravity is way off - a poor design really. When you use the side of the plate the whole thing lifts up off the table and food goes everywhere.

While I really like the look and feel, I'd never purchase because of this exact reason. Good to know it's not just me being clumsy!

I would be a little careful with Victoria's Basement as goods are sometimes not always what they seem. We picked up some extra V&B cups to go with our set - same pattern, branded as V&B but they are marginally larger than our originals and thicker in the rim, also labelled as fine china not porcelain. The quality is not quite the same. Bought some other pieces through the V&B discount store and they are the same as our set. I'm not suggesting they are rip offs but they are different from the original, maybe V&B changed, don't know.
Anyway not in the market for a new dinner set and my Noritake is the one we were given by my parents when we became engaged (43+ years ago).
