The flying kangaroo is a regular and expected sight at Melbourne Airport but yesterday at 7am, cab drivers saw a hopping version.
It had nothing to do with Qantas or anyone being hopping mad about flight delays.
A real kangaroo raced past, forcing drivers to search deep within as to whether they were hallucinating. They weren't.

I understand that roos frequently hop around the runway perimeters, but this is a first.

Here we are trying to counter the "kangaroos in your main streets" meme, when something like this happens.

I live not far from the end of the Ring Road (Wattle Glen) and roos are a hazard in my own street. Ten years ago they were a rarity, now they are in plague proportions.
