Bit new to all of this and post is on behalf of Shrek. He had booked and paid J class return SYD-LHR-SYD. Requested and successfully obtained upgrade using FF points to F on SYD-LHR. Qantas website registering 0 points and SC for this flight. Flight taken on 9th May. Various emails ignored. Annoying as these SC were required for upgrade to WP.
What should Shrek do? We assumed that he is entitled to at least the points and SC of paid J sector.

Welcome to AFF, Princess Fiona.

This is a glitch in the system that pops up from time to time.

A call to the frequent flyer call centre should resolve the issue.

They're fairly familiar with the problem, so they should credit the points (and SCs) without any hassle.

Being the J points and SC, not F, it is always the original booking class.
But as has been said, a quick call will usually sort it out.

Phone QFF and they will likely fix it then and there over the phone
