hi everyone

please correct me from wrong - I thought it is always points and SC entitled for fare paying business class tickets across oneworld carriers. But it may not be the case for some selected oneworld carrier business class fares.

I notice Royal Jordanian (RJ) business class is usually sold as I class. According to Qantas airline earning category, Royal Jordanian tickets can earn points and SC only for the following (https://www.qantas.com/fflyer/dyn/flying/airline-earning#rj):

Business: C D J
Flexible economy: Y B
Economy: H K L M S V

Does it mean even I paid for my business class on RJ I class, I won't earn a single point nor SC? Particular I do not see the I class is materially cheaper than C, D or J class, and at least a double of economy class fares, it would be a massive issue if I paid for a business class ticket by cash and turn out no SC earned.

hope someone have done status run on RJ I class fare can give some guidance.

many thanks

Had this happen before, didn't find out until I tried to claim and was knocked back. Very frustrating.

I do not know the answer but it appears you may be correct - so I thank you for the "heads up" as this may have prevented me making a similar mistake.
