I didn't realise Flexi fares got priority boarding

There goes the priority check-in.

A few months ago (on a food thread I think) one of the DJ reps made a comment that there can be 100+ flexis on an 800 . Given there is 180 Y seats, flexis + business/PE + plat + gold + silver probably means the priority queue will become longer than the pleb (said in the nicest of ways) queue!

How funny would it be if they turn you back pointing at the sign and saying "you are not on the list, back of the queue" :D

In Melbourne there can be a bit of a problem with the Priority Queue. Sometimes just as bad as the regular one. Full of flexis!!

I feel sorry for Virgin, I have no idea why they would add Priority Checkin for Flexis, but to take it away would be some pretty bad PR. :/

I've been on OOL-SYD flights with 100 odd Flexis. It keeps the cabin crew on their toes!!

Is it a new sign or just left over from before there was such a thing as Platinum :?:

It must be an old sign as corporate plus fares were phased out under the new fare structure some months back. It doesn't leave too many other classes of traveller though.

Looks like the sign in the ad though

I don't think they get priority boarding - just check-in....I could be wrong but I'm sure the priority boarding lane signs make no mention of Flexi Customers

You are correct, Priority Boarding is only for PE/J & Gold/Plat

It seems pretty obvious to me ... the infrequent flyers (most of the savers) dont read the signs and just jump in the long queue (in this case the priority queue) leaving just us Plats with our very own short queue. Well, they can call the other queue the *Priority* one. As long as we get the shorter one we don't mind what it's called, right? ;)
