1. I called KrisFlyer last week and they advised that they no longer have the 15% discount for online redemptions. Feeling disappointed.

2. The automated voice at the commencement of the call asked if I would participate in a survey at the conclusion of the call. I agreed to, and then got through to a person very quickly. On a previous call I had said no to the survey, and then was on hold for quite a while. Not sure if this was a coincidence or not, but it might be worth considering if you call KF. The survey is very quick.

They got rid of the online redemption discount about 6 months ago, as well as changing some of the award redemption pricing.

FWIW, I always say "no" to the survey and almost always get through straight away. I think it depends more on the time of day.

On the flipside they no longer charge the ridiculous fuel surcharges, which has to some extent (varying by route) mitigated the impact of loss of 15% discount and increases in some award pricing. Changes have been most beneficial to those in economy cabin though.
