Hi everyone just need some advice. I manage to book a business class fare to London 350 days ahead most years but now am unable to get any availability with a wide range of acceptable dates/ flights. Even first class is not an option. I got one in March/ April before all the changes to the programme - is this part of the the deal now? If so, any recommendations of where to transfer points for better deal? Thanks for advice. Barnsleybob

There certainly was availability a couple of months ago as I got 2 X F seats LHR-MEL for Jan 29th.

I have also noticed this. A veritable desert. I was hoping that QF was holding these seats back, waiting for the demise of MASAs, but availability doesn't look to have improved at all since then.

Seems that all we will be able to spend our points on soon will be toasters.

Agree, no one wants toasters. But once your points are in the QFF program they are there to stay. So if all they are offering is toasters...

But if you are asking which FF program to send credit card etc spend to, well the world is your oyster. Depends where you live, spending patterns, domestic v international travel. Etc. Etc.

There are many threads here describing in great detail the various programs. Once you have read them you will find what is right for you.

For me? Hard to go past SQ at the moment.

I see a bit of availability late June on CX/BA First which you could book using your QFF miles.

SQ are nearly all wait list for June 2015 (most recent open dates) ex SYD via SIN to most european destinations. Planning for next year looks difficult in using AMEX / Westpac points.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

What dates are you looking at?

I can see some availability. Naturally it's not like it's a full slather, but it is there.

On top of that, there are no more Any Seat Awards at the Classic level any more, so I am assuming that the post title was meant to refer to Classic Awards.

If you're willing to pay a bit more cash (or points) and you are a Platinum, try calling the Premium desk and seeing if they can request availability on a date which you want but where there are no seats online available.

But you can get economy seats for tomorrow, or pretty much any day...

I just status matched to Cathay (Only gave Platinum -> Gold..) and that's where I'll be going now..
