As far as I know, my employer will not release any financial details to a 3rd party without contacting me first to confirm.

Yet I've never had any issues with getting credit etc (except Amex's pathetic credit limit they gave me for my Plat!).

I believe they will tell the organisation that you work for them, but nothing more unless you organise it.

Otherwise it could become a real sham "Oh Hi, I work for <unnamed credit organisation>, I'm curious what my neighbour earns"
