Went to book 2 x 1st class seats for QF94 (LAX-MEL) for next year (have booked 1st class for this flight previously on points). Logged onto the Qantas App (Android version) 353 days in advance of flight (I am QFF Gold) . Only options displayed were Business, Prem Economy and Economy - no 1st class offered (plane is an A380 so definitely 1st class available). Rang my friend (QF employee) who has access to the flight loads and they confirmed there were still 14 x 1st class seats available on the flight.
Ended up booking 2 x Business Class on points, but I was a bit puzzled as to why no 1st class seats were on offer - When I booked 1st class on points on this flight previously (2019), I was QFF Platinum and I booked it via a laptop (not via the Qantas app). Could it be 1st class on points is now only availale for Platinum members? Or the Qantas app does not have all the functionality? Thoughts?
