How was it? I used to buy some every year but haven't had anything now since the 2019 vintage.

Lovely tannins and berry, but a bit young yet. We continue to buy a dozen a year direct to support them. Difficult times in the Hunter these days I believe.

Theme last night was wine to go with tomahawk steaks. The gang delivered! The St Hallet was WOTN on count back from the Moss Wood. All round excellent wines and steak. There was a fourth one somewhere too.

This week we stayed at Milawa Victoria, across the road from Brown Brothers Winery. We spent an hour in the tasting room, where I like checking out their Kindergarten wines that are only available at the cellar door, for something new or different. I ended up taking a few bottle of the Teroldego (known as Teri), a grape variety from north east Italy . that has just been released. Well worth it. Nice and dark, and velvety but still a bit of acid so maybe it might develop a bit further.

The Albariño was also very good, and a few bottles followed me home too.
