Theme last night was a Victorian odyssey. Each person had a different GI region from Victoria. What we certainly concluded is that Cabernet is not Victoria's strong point

We did but it's a bit of a novelty at that price point. It also doesn't exactly have too much competition of Aussie GamayHope you guys liked the Sorrenberg, it’s my favourite Aussie Gamay![]()
FWIW the recent new release of the Adelaide hills Shaw and Smith Gamay is lovely.Agree. I buy quite a lot of Victorian wines but almost never strait CS. There are some brilliant Bordeaux blend though.
Tasted the Savaterre 24 the other day at a Beechworth event. It will be brilliant in few years.

Aww
This was stunning at Yi in SIN. Cost made a little more approachable when the somm offered $100 of when I expressed interest, plus the Accor plus 15% discount and Amex restaurant voucher.

My house guest brought the Carmenere, a wine I had not previously tried. Maybe I should have made some notes but it was definitely very enjoyable. The carmenere caught my eye. I have only had Chilean carmenere, how was the Australian?
