I had an ‘07 389 at a restaurant tonight, really drinking well.

07 was a tricky vintage, glad to hear it aged well.

Around $100, any suggestions. I would have to buy it from Dans or the other local contenders. Too late to order now. His partner wants to buy it for Christmas.

I find 389 hit and miss, but the st Henri never fails to deliver…

I ended up buying a Balnaves Tally reserve Cabernet Sauvignon from mt local Dans.
$85 on special.
I remembered that my son’s previous boss really rated the Balnaves Tally.
I’m sure he will like it, maybe he might even share it with me

Agree. I have had some excepional wines from Balnaves.

2016 Wynn's Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon. Absolutely stunning, so soft and delicate with fine tannins. A beautiful nose too and a nice long finish. Served from the duckanter.

We also enjoyed this with some Coffin Bay oysters and some fat juicy king prawns.
