Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

Dappled Upper Yarra PN 2021 Appellation vs Champs de Cerises.

Appellation has to be one of the best value PNs in the country. Red fruits, spice and smoky notes I’d expect to see in higher category wines are all here.

The single vineyard is lighter, more elegant with distinct strawberry and vanilla notes. The whole bunch adds complexity and earthiness. Needs a good decant and will be even better the next day. Looking forward to see it develops further in the next 3-5 years.

Correct. Having one leg now a good 3" longer than the other just makes other parts of the body ache. Sigh.
I feel your pain @Daver6 👣
Before you know it, you will be back to near normal. I'm 3 months from my mis-step in Lisbon and not yet up to my 6km walks - though the moonboot can get you out of a few chores!
Put your feet up and ease your frustration with 🍷

A slight downgrade on last year (interest rates cutting the wine budget despite most being AFF-flagged offers)
Star of the show was undoubtedly the Michael. The Rockfords sparkling shiraz didn't seem to do it for anyone

Oh, I meant to post this earlier. We had two years in a row with Lakes Folly (1994 and 2000) for Christmas lunch and thought we’d try this instead. It’s been hiding away since first purchased circa 1997 (its siblings drunk years ago).

Yes, it was past its peak but still pleasant and better than any Pinot…😉
