Nice wines I have drunk recently - Red or White

It Is quite closed in the beginning but I can smell the perfume. My usual routine for just delivered wines is to stand the bottle up somewhere cool until the next day, put the bottle in the fridge for around 20mins before opening ,depends on how cold your own fridge is, I hardly do any decant for the whole bottle, just pour a glass and leave it alone for an hour. Even on the third night the wine still very drinkable , no sign of sourness or flavour faded away.

I too found the 2014 slow to release its goods. The 2013 was probably a little more upfront but both seem subdued. I still have 5 of each. Will test side by side in a couple of years.

Depends on what you prefer - a Shiraz or a Cab Sav. I'd go for the 2012 Katnook Prodigy Shiraz personally.

any greenish bitterness from this 2011 vintage?the only other 2011 vintage i tried from barossa was the penfolds 2011 release, i didn't swallow any of them during tasting.

No unusual bitterness detected. The only Penfolds I’ve tried from that vintage was RWT, don’t recall any issues with it either.

have only tried rockfords at rrestaurants, where/how is hte best place to get these?

Basket Press are terribly overpriced almost anywhere outside the winery. Clever marketing by Rockford selling mostly to members and by doing that inflating the price from $65-$70 to > $200!
