Tonight we dined at the Bonefish Grill in LAS. Mrs H ordered a Martini, while I started with a Moscow Mule. Only then did the waiter tell us it was half price for all bottles of wine tonight. Would have been good to know before we ordered drinks mate.

Other than the Koonunga Hill the wine list was a lottery, but we went with a Californian Chardy which was excellent accompaniment to salt and pepper callimari, grilled scallops with a bourbon and bacon reduction over grilled vegetables and seared Mahi Mahi with crab lumps and steamed greens.

2012 Rockford Rod & Spur, decanted .... was absolutely sublime. Don't know why, but we decided to have it with fresh raspberries and cream - inspired choice!

Yes. Three all up. La Lancha (Guatemala), and two more in Belize (Blancaneaux & Turtle Inn) .... made the transfers between the three locations nice and easy.

First Destiny Bay bottle was under Corivan but just wasn’t right. Second was excellent, Bordeaux drains cloying dry tannins.

Not a bad drop after all these years..the cork disintegrated when I tried to open it so pushed it in, and had to sieve the wine into a decanter!
