Nice airport hotel at Changi T3 for early morning flight?

Coming in from CDG to SIN at 4.00pm, then a 7.45am next morning onto MEL. What would be a nice hotel very close to T3 that anyone could recommend? I'm thinking we could take a taxi into the city that night for a meal and not have to rush in the morning. The obvious one is the Crowne Plaza Crowne Plaza Changi Airport Singapore - World's Best Airport Hotel‎ - Singapore Airport Hotel - Hotels in Changi, but I'd like to get some real-world advice.

We stayed there last Thursday, nice and easy. I would recommend it, @drron could give you more information, they have stayed there a lot, iirc.

We had an 11pm arrival, that is why we chose this hotel, flight out wasn’t until midday.

I usually stay at the Crowne Plaza. Being an airport hotel is probably a little more expensive than going off-site, but a good enough hotel.
 
We have stayed there many time so are treated well. It basically is the only full service hotel in the airport.
The Entrance to Jewel is next door to the CP and adds variety in shopping and eating.
The main drawback for some is that it is more expensive
this was our stay just under 4 weeks ago.

And this was our experience 10 weeks ago on the way to Euope. The next couple of posts were of our first taste of Jewel.
 
Not sure if just me but it seems it can't be booked anymore with points?
I arrived in Changi at 8am earlier this week and had my flight back to Australia at 12:30am, and managed to book using points. I was lucky to be given a very early check-in considering it's normally 3pm. I'm a Platinum member so may have helped.

Thanks. Will try again. Perhaps I was trying to book too into the future (July next year)
