I was just catching up on my newspaper reading when i came across this story in the Australian Financial Review. Sorry but they are on a subscription model so the full story isn't there.
JB Hi-Fi scores with customers
But it is about the release of the Corporate Reputation Index, compiled by AMR (a global market research firm) The punch line of the story is that JB Hi-fi had the number 1 reputation for this year and Telstra was second last.
But the thing that stuck me was that Qantas was 4th top in reputation, moving from 15th in 2009. Now there has been much speculation that there is a ongoing conspriacy to publish many baseless stories in order to damage Qantas' reputation. (I'm not saying there isn't such a campaign, but) This story suggestions that the conspriacy isn't working. Maybe the public aren't so stupid to not understand the underlying message in all these stories that Qantas puts safety above all else?
BTW Virgin Blue drop one place from 5th to 6th.
