Sorry to be such a bore; I'm sure this question comes up every day. What is the best international airline to register FF points with?
I have AmEx Altitude if that helps anybody. Thanks in advance for your patience.
:D :D

Welcome to AFF aussiexj :)

There is no single FFP that is best for everyone. If you can provide more info that would help.

where and how often do you fly? also is this economy, business or first class, or cheapest you can get?

how do you want to use your points/miles? upgrades? award flights? where? what class?

what non-flying earning might you be able to do? credit card is obvious and a major consideration, but also hotel and car rental

if you fly a lot then airline status will come into the equation - are these benefits highly valued or concentrating on the points/miles aspect?

where are you based?

Thanks for the reply. I have never been a part of a FF program and I guess that is obvious.
I will only be earning points on my credit card, but the nature of my life means that I am spending more than most people about $2000 per month on average.
I don't care about business and first class at this stage and I would prefer to use my points for travel OS if possible. I don't care which airline I use, the best value for monemilage wise I guess.
I don't hire cars or stay at hotels very often so I can't really use thodse for FF Points.
I hope this is enough info. Thanks AXJ.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I don't fly often at all. Only holidays every few years.
Thanks again.

You are based in australia I presume?

That limits the options somewhat. Qantas has the most partner credit cards - there's a lot of info on earning rates, fees and promotions if you do a search.

There's a small number of other options - Air NZ through Westpac or several airlines through Amex.
